What we collect

WriteMode stores:

• Your email address (account identifier)
• Newsletter content you compose in WriteMode
• OAuth tokens for platforms you've connected (encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM)
• Per-platform click counts and view events (for the analytics dashboard)
• Billing information handled by Pancake (we never see your card number)

What we do NOT collect

• Substack credentials (Substack auth happens in your browser via the Chrome extension — it never touches our servers)
• Your subscribers' email addresses (analytics only counts visits to your short links)
• Any data outside what you explicitly send through WriteMode

Data location

All data is stored in Cloudflare's global edge network (D1 database + KV). Pancake handles billing under their own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@writemode.cc. Deletion is permanent and completes within 7 days.
